Lily Waite is a writer, brewer, photographer, editor, and ceramicist based in East London. She’s the founder of the award-winning LGBTQ+ brewery Queer Brewing, and writes for some of the best beer publications in the world. She’s also an associate editor for Pellicle Magazine. She’s the youngest-ever British Guild of Beer Writers’ Beer Writer of the Year (2020).

As a photographer, her work focuses primarily on food, drink, and the surrounding people and their stories. She shoots both in digital and on film on both 35mm and medium format. She’s also moved into music photography.

Her work as a multi-award-winning beer writer and photographer led to an interest in the vessels and surfaces our food & drink is served in and on. Lily’s training as a painter, with experience in printmaking, sculpture, and installation, has translated into this ceramic practice, focusing mostly on functional tableware.

Through minimalist forms and glazes, Lily produces tableware (along with occasional decorative or sculptural works) that combines simplicity with elegance, and functionality with beauty, designed simultaneously for the everyday and the refined.

Work is currently only sold through this site. Contact Lily for commission enquiries, and any other questions, here.
